Introducing the Ult-Sound DS-4M ProMuzer, a modern reissue of Toyo Gakki's DS-4 analog drum synthesizer, available in a limited edition of only 50 units. This exclusive release features a sleek new design with a custom white front panel and black lettering, blending vintage charm with modern aesthetics. The DS-4M ProMuzer faithfully reproduces the second iteration of the ULT-SOUND DS-4  - while incorporating innovative upgrades to meet contemporary music production needs.

Some features of the original DS-4 have been retained in this reissue, and we highlight them here for those unfamiliar with the original design:

- SUB slider replacement: as in the original version, the SUB slider has been replaced with a SUSTAIN slider, offering more intuitive control over sound shaping.

- SUSTAIN pot replacement: similarly, the SUSTAIN pot has been replaced with a new ATTACK pot, which adds a sharp, percussive click to the drum sound, enhancing its punch and definition—an essential feature for creating impactful drum tones.

- Beat Sense switch: just like in the original, this switch activates velocity sensitivity, enabling dynamic response to trigger inputs for expressive playability.

These features were part of the second iteration of the DS-4 and remain integral to this reissue. We mention them here to ensure buyers are aware of these powerful capabilities if they are unfamiliar with the original design.

MIDI and Connectivity.

The DS-4M ProMuzer introduces advanced MIDI capabilities:

- 4 independended MIDI channels for each voice as it was in previous version

- Unified MIDI channel: all four voices can operate on a single MIDI channel

- Polyphonic Mode: enables simultaneous control of multiple voices for richer compositions

- Velocity control via MIDI: MIDI now allows direct control over velocity

- Dynamic Gate Inputs: the gate inputs now respond to the level of incoming signals, allowing you to control the output volume dynamically for enhanced expressiveness

As in the previous version, the DS-4M retains several essential connectivity options that make it versatile for both studio and live setups:

- Trigger Inputs: dedicated trigger inputs for the drum pads

- CV/Gate Inputs: each channel features individual CV/Gate inputs for advanced sequencing and modulation possibilities

- Individual Outputs: separate outputs for each channel provide flexibility in routing and mixing

- Balanced Master Output: a high-quality balanced master output ensures pristine audio quality and compatibility with professional equipment.
