This one-of-a-kind, side address condenser microphone hears like a laser, sounds like a ribbon, and is able to withstand a staggering 135dB of SPL without internal padding. Track electric guitars in front of a live drum kit, or the bottom of a snare drum with astonishing dynamics and isolation.

DARK BY DESIGN

Creating a microphone with such strong off-axis rejection had a unique timbral side-effect -- a sound similar to a ribbon microphone, but without the fragility. This classic timbre can be further shaped with two analog filters that allow for immediate sound-shaping right at the source.

PREMIUM COMPONENTS

The LS-308 signal path is hand-populated with high resolution, low distortion polypropylene capacitors and resistors, a US made low-noise FET, and a custom wound output transformer. The result is a massively impactful sound with unmatched isolation and SPL handing.
