The G21 is kinda an elaboration on our G14 parallel-passive eq – the parallel topology
enables multi-band control without running into traditional problems in multi-banding (i.e.
the problem in phase at recombining). Multiple types of interacting nonlinearities are at
large. Changing something in one band will affect other bands in an organic way.
Therefore the generated harmonics when clipping will result in outstanding, musical
sound.
Details | Technical
- entirely passive clipper
- Low cut: 18 dB/octave at the input
- 230V mains voltage (others are available)
- no power connector due to the entirely passive path
Details | Operability
- Full bandwidth: Threshold, Level, Cut/Bypass/Clip, Clip Range to tend harmonics
- Low Freq.: 35 - 245 Hz, Threshold, Level, Cut/Bypass/Clip
- Mid Freq. (High Cut): 235 Hz - 18 KHz, Threshold, Level, Cut/Bypass/Clip
- Mid Freq. (Notch): 270 Hz - 2.7 KHz, Threshold, Level, Cut/Bypass/Clip
