The core of xmax is its Class-A circuitry with internal Mid/Side processing, delivering pristine audio quality without compromising the natural integrity of your mix. The multiband compression – split into low, mid, and side bands—allows for detailed control of each frequency range, letting you shape your sound with precision.

The Soft Clipper derived from our legendary alpha compressor drives the signal harder without causing clipping external AD converters.

Its high-end analog meters provide clear feedback on signal levels, compression, and clipping for each band.

Simply put it on your MixMasterDrumVocalGuitarSynthPianoBassRoom BUS. And done.

A focused and powerful low end can easily be achieved via the low band. Tight and punchy snare hits or upfront vocal tracks are no problem with the mid band. If you want to widen the stereo field of guitars or your room sound, simply turn the side band gain control to get more stereo width.
