The original blackbox earned a global reputation among music producers and live performers, and blackbox 2 takes this concept even further.

Record and edit samples and sequences, perform live, and shape your sound—all powered by a high-resolution color touchscreen. Slice beats with precision, play one-shots via finger drumming, or control multisample instruments like pianos using the on-screen keyboard or a MIDI controller. Record in real time or program sequences in the Piano Roll Editor or the new Step Sequencer.

Loop Groups allow you to launch multiple loops simultaneously with BPM synchronization, making blackbox 2 a complete desktop sampler solution for DAW-less music production. With its built-in 3-hour battery, it’s also perfectly suited for mobile use.

Like bento, blackbox 2 features a dedicated launch screen for triggering Loop Groups and sequences on the fly. Songs can be played in full using Song Mode or arranged flexibly as scenes. For live performances, it offers real-time clip and scene triggering, expressive pads, resampling tools, and new DJ effects.

With extensive real-time control options and versatile connectivity, blackbox 2 is ideal for DAW-less jams and live performances.
